Is it possible to support web automation?

I think web automation is as important as desktop application automation.
Is it possible for UIA to support web automation? Or is there any advice?
Thanks.

You can use UIAutomation for web automation to some extent. However, there appears the speed problem: UIAutomation is getting slower geometrically with the number of controls (grid for desktop, many other controls for web).
For "small automation" (a particular need) UIA might fit: I worked with SharePoint 2007 via IE and FF for very small tasks like getting a list of scrum stories, parse it and build a report.
Chrome is worse here, though you may try link config:accessibility or its command-line brother.

These days Selenium and Selenium-based frameworks rule. There are a number of examples how to use Selenium dotNet (a name of archive) via PowerShell. There is also SePSX, but it has not been updated to the latest Selenium.

Thank you for your advice, I'll try Selenium.
