This release changes nothing in UIAutomaiton.dll (except that the -WriteCurrentPattern parameter in the Start-UIARecorder cmdlet is seet to $true by default).
For testers of Metro UI applications, there is a bug fix:
a rich text control on the Script tab page has been replaced with a multiline text box.
Now, you can edit scripts and paste the code into the text box. The preferred way to generate test code is to do steps as follows:
1) run UIAutomaitonSpy.exe
2) don't click Start. Instead, go to the Script tab and type in
start-uiarecorder -se 20
(20 is time in seconds you are going to record)
3) click the Run All button
4) now you can slowely move the mouse cursor, hovering over controls, perform actions like clicks or typing in text into controls and so on.
5) after the time you set (20 seconds in our code sample), two instances of Notepad should appear. One is for full test code, the other contains its shorter version.
